You should get yourself a big dog. Like a German Sheppard. These dogs are very good in protecting their owners. If you had a big dog to protect you. Adam would think twice before coming near you.

Becareful and don't trust him. How can he say he's sorry after the hell he put you through. The only reason why he's saying he's sorry is because he hopes you'll drop your guard and make the mistake of trusting him again. I can only guess that maybe he found out that you called the police and now he's worried that he could go to jail. He probaly knows what could happen to him if he goes to jail. Katie. Are you still there? Talk to me. What is going on? You have some kind of furniture in your bedroom. A bed. Night table. Dresser. Anything that is heavy no matter what it may be. Do you have a chair in your room? If you do. Take the chair. Go over to the door. Tilt it backwards and push the top of the chair under the doorknob. When I say the top of the chair. I mean when you sit in a chair. I the part of the chair your back rest against. Push the chair under the doorknob and with your foot. Push hard on the chair leg so the chair will get pushed under the doorknob until all four legs touch the floor. At least come close to all four touches the floor. This will create a door jam.

Is he inside the house or outside? See if you can find out which side of the house he is at without him seeing you. Do you have a car? If you do. Can you get to it without him seeing you? If you can. Get to the car and drive as fast as you can to away from him. I hope he did not drive to your house.

If the police say that they are going to arrest you then tell them to come and get you. Yell and swear at them if you have to. If you are arrested. You will be in police custody and you will be safe for the night. When they arrest you. They have to get you a pubic defender (attorney). They have to give you a lawyer. It is the law.
